Semi Rollover Snarls Afternoon Traffic On I-5 Near Alger

Alger, Washington- A rolled over semi truck carrying 45,000 pounds of Bananas has snarled  traffic on Interstate 5 in Skagit County today.

According to the Washington State Patrol Public Information Officer for District 7, Sgt. Mark Francis, “a lot of help was needed to get the bananas back in the trailer.”

All Southbound lanes were blocked and detoured in Alger as the overturned semi was towed out of the median by large tow trucks.

The Crash was non injury and has been blocking the freeway for nearly four hours.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time but the scene was totally #Bananas!
