One Person Dies in Crash on I-5 Near Marysville

Snohomish County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a fatal crash on I-5 near milepost 199, one mile South of Marysville,  just after 2 am on January 1st, 2017.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, a silver 2002 Dodge Ram Pickup was traveling Northbound on I-5 approaching Milepost 199 in lane three of three when the driver lost control of the vehicle.  The truck rolled down an embankment and came to rest on its roof.

The driver, who has not been identified, died at the scene.  A passenger in the vehicle, a 31-year old male from Everett was injured and transported to Providence Hospital’s Colby Campus for treatment.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

The truck was impounded for safe keeping by Hansens Towing.
