Two Blaine Residents Injured in Single Vehicle Crash

Blaine, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a single vehicle  crash in the 2500 block of Haynie Road, 7-miles East of Blaine around 8:39 p.m. on May 9th, 2019.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 61-year old Anita Wick of Blaine was traveling Eastbound in the 2500 block of Haynie Road in a blue 2017 Toyota Camry when her vehicle left the roadway to the right and struck several mailboxes and a power pole.  Troopers say Wick was injured and so was a passenger, identified as 81-year old Randall Wick of Blaine.  Medics transported both Wick’s to St. Joes Hospital in Bellingham.

Troopers say they believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The cause of the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.

The vehicle was impounded to the Washington State Patrol Bullpen in Bellingham.
