Snohomish County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a fatality collision on Southbound I-5 near milepost 195 in Everett around 5:07 a.m.  on September 14th, 2020.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 33-year old Brenda Cuff of Everett, was traveling at a high rate of speed on Southbound I-5 in lane 3 in a black 2003 Honda Odyssey. Her vehicle bounced off the guardrail and struck the Tractor trailer and both vehicles came to rest on the right shoulder.   Cuff died as a result of the crash. A passenger in her vehicle, identified by Troopers as 37-year old Jamaal Frazier of Arlington was not injured. Trooper say he was transported to his residence. The Tractor Trailer Driver, Jawanda,  was not injured in the crash.

Troopers say Cuff was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The Crash remains under investigation.

R and R Towing impounded the Honda Odyssey for safe keeping and Dick’s Towing Marysville towed the Tractor Trailer.
