Three Injured After Crash On State Route 9 North Of Sedro Woolley

SEDRO WOOLLEY, WA-  The Washington State Patrol Responded to a two car serious injury crash on State Route 9, about 2 miles North of Sedro Woolley  around 6:52 am this morning.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 18 year old Zachary Taylor of Sedro Woolley was Southbound on State Route 9 in a green 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier when his vehicle slid on Ice and crossed the center line crashing head-on into a black 2004 Lincoln Navigator being driven by 26 year old, Maulilio Villanueveabarriga of Machican, Mexico.  

Both Drivers were injured and transported to local area hospitals.

A 15 year old male Passenger in the Cavalier, from Sedro Woolley was seriously injured in the crash and transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His condition is unknown.

The press memo states drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash and all three injured parties were wearing their seat belts.

The cause of the crash is listed as Speed too Fast for Conditions and possible charges are pending against the 18 year old  driver.
