Driver Identified in Fatal Snohomish County Crash

Snohomish County, WA – The Washington State Patrol has released the identify of the driver who died in a fatal New Years morning crash on Northbound I-5 in Snohomish County.

According to Troopers, 26-year old Ivan Rosalescabanillas  of Everett, died at the scene of the crash just after 2 a.m on the morning of January 1st, 2017.   He had been traveling Northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 199 in a Silver 2002 Dodge Ram Pickup when he lost control of the vehicle and it rolled down an embankment, coming to rest on its roof.

Mr. Rosalescabanillas was pronounced dead at the scene.  A passenger in the truck, 31-year old Marlon Ruanoquiroa of Everett was injured and transported to Providence Hospital for Treatment.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
