Seattle, WA: May 21st, 2014. A Komo 4 news icon in Seattle, Washington is retiring after 27 years at the news desk. Tonight is the final news cast for Dan Lewis. Dan has been a household name in Washington for 27 years! As a news junkie, I grew up watching Dan Lewis cover the news. I have been a Dan Lewis fan for years. Dan Lewis is the Russell Wilson of the News industry. Anyone from Seattle knows exactly what that means. In 2011, myself and my daughter won a Facebook contest that Dan had sponsored. We had the opportunity to meet Dan Lewis and tour the Komo 4 studios at Fisher Plaza in Seattle. While we were there not only did we get to meet Dan Lewis, but we also had the opportunity to meet Mary Nam, Kathi Goertzen and many other Komo 4 News Staffers. As a fan and follower of Dan Lewis for almost my entire life, I want to say Thank You to Dan Lewis and the entire Komo 4 news team for the exceptional news coverage you have provided the state of Washington. Dan Lewis gave a human side to the news. I watched him cover numerous very personal news stories, including the passing of his good friend, Kathi Goertzen and the most recent chopper crash in Seattle. I for one, will miss Dan Lewis and I want to say Thank You for your years of service and dedication to news reporting. Enjoy retirement and we hope to see you again soon on Komo 4 News as a special guest. Here are some of the photos from our tour of Fisher Plaza/Komo 4 Studios.
