Anacortes, WA: On November 22nd, 2014 at around 10:30 am the Washington State Patrol responded to a two car collision on Havekost Road, near Marine Drive. According to the Washington State Patrol press memo, Diana Berge, 65, of Anacortes was Northbound on Havekost Road driving vehicle #1, when she crossed the center line into the Southbound Lane. Vehicle #2, was southbound driven by 29 year old, Dale Webb of Oak Harbor. He noticed the vehicle in his lane and swerved into the Northbound Lane to avoid a collision when the driver of vehicle #1, swerved back into the Northbound Lane and the vehicles collided. The driver of vehicle #2 was injured and transported to Island Hospital. A passenger in vehicle #2, 29 year old, Maria Webb of Oak Harbor was not injured. A second passenger in the vehicle, 6 year old, Lilly Webb, of Oak Harbor was injured. According to Trooper Mark Francis, via Twitter, She was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with head and facial injuries. Her condition is not known at the time of this story. The press memo states both vehicles were impounded to Anacortes Towing. Drugs or Alcohol were not a factor in the crash and the driver of vehicle 1, was cited for Negligent Driving in the 2nd degree.
