The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release today stating that 53 year old, Diana Martinka, of Ferndale has died from injuries sustained in a hit and run in Everett on Monday night.
According to the Press Release, Diana Martinka was struck by a vehicle on Monday Night while crossing the road around 7:40 p.m. in the 200 block of 128th Street SW in South Everett. She was not in a crosswalk.
The driver of the vehicle that struck her drove away from the scene and is being sought by Law Enforcement. The vehicle is said to have front-end damage and would be missing an outside mirror, which broke off from the vehicle during the incident. Witnesses stated the driver of the vehicle was a male.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is asking that anyone who may have been in the area at the time or was witness to the accident call the Sheriff’s Office anonymous tip line at 425-388-3845.
