Mount Vernon Man Injured in SR20 Motorcycle Accident

The Washington State Patrol responded to the intersection of State Route 20 and Jordan Road in Burlington for reports of a serious injury collision involving a motorcycle.

According to the Washington State Patrol Press memo, 33 year-old Robert Morse, of Mount Vernon was riding aHarley Davidson Eastbound on State Route 20 approaching Jordan Road. Alex Blade, 26 of Mount Vernon was stopped at the intersection turning Westbound onto State Route 20 in a 2015 Chevy Silverado.

The press memo says the Harley Driver crossed the double yellow line on the left and collided with the pickup.

The Harley driver was transported by Aid to Skagit Valley Hospital and transported to Harborview where he underwent two surgeries.

The Harley Motorcycle was damaged and rolled to his residence nearby. The driver was wearing a USDOT compliant helmet and has his motorcycle endorsement.

The Driver of the Pickup was not injured. His vehicle had reportable damage but was driven from the scene.

The Cause of the accident is listed as Passing on the left and Charges are pending.
