Eyewitness Posted This Chilling Comment on our Social Media Site Yesterday

MOUNT VERNON, WA: This was an eyewitness account posted James Gresham on July 18th on one of our social media sites.  He was in the heavy traffic caused by the investigations of the shooting deaths of Leonardo Salinas and Miguel Lopez of Skagit Valley.

“I was sitting there in the backup from the shooting. Northbound in the left lane. I heard a loud TWANG looked back and saw the truck flying across the median. It looked like it was going 50-60 mph. It came up the embankment and rolled upside down over the fence on my side into the cars that were stopped. I had just been in that spot a few seconds before it happened. Those poor people had nowhere to go.”

It is very fortunate that Washington State Patrol made a quick announcement saying there were no deaths in this accident, despite 24 vehicles being involved.

July 18th 2015 was a tiresome day for all of Skagit Counties first responders and hospital facilities.
