Elk Along Highway 20

Elk CrossingIf you drive Highway 20 east towards Concrete, you are probably used to seeing animals on the side of the road; dead or alive. We did some research on the current elk that is along the road near Birdsview on a stretch of the highway there.

The DOT is going to remove it on Tuesday, August 11th. There are many factors as to why these removals take a long time:

*Not reported

*Correct machinery not nearby

*Incorrect information when reported

It is important to report these animals and to have the correct information for those that need to do the recovery. Here is the information we were given.
