What To Do About Dumped Garbage

I recently found some garbage that was dumped behind Burlington Coat Factory in Burlington, also behind Fastenall. I went into Fastenall and spoke with the General Manager about it. He was disgusted by it.

I asked him for some cleaning gloves and he allowed me to throw it away in their big dumpster.

As the bags were going into the dumpster, I rooted through them to check for personal information. I found three very good pieces of mail with the same name and address on it.

Since these items were very legible, I called 9-1-1 and informed them of this non-emergency. The Burlington PD officer that showed up on scene said that this is exactly what they like to see happen when dumping like this is discovered.

* Find documents or mail with legible names

* Take before and after pictures if decide to clean up!

* Call 9-1-1 and report as a non-emergency
