Marysville Man Injured in SR2 Motorcycle Crash

      King County, WA- The Washington State Patrol Responded to a motorcycle crash on West SR2 near milepost 63 on September 12th, 2015 around 3:00 Pm.

According to the press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 25 year old Antonio Gettemy of Marysville, was Eastbound State Route 2 on a 2000 Suzuki GSXR60 Motorcycle when he  lost control of his motorcycle and slid into the Westbound Lanes where he collided with a  Westbound 2001 Yamaha XV1600 driven by 78 year old Donald Brown of Bothell.  

The causing driver was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries. The press memo states he did not have a motorcycle endorsement.  Drugs or alcohol were not suspected in the crash.

The cause of the crash is listed as speeds to fast.

The causing motorcycle was impounded by Sky Valley Towing for safe keeping.

The vehicle that was hit was driven from the scene and the press memo states that rider had a valid motorcycle endorsement.

The press memo states no charges are pending.
