Lakewood Schools in Smokey Point Recieve Threats

Lakewood School District near Arlington and Marysville Washington on the West side of I-5 had threats by a student That were reported to the Snohomish County Sheriffs Department.

On Wednesday night, November 4th, Snohomish County Sheriffs received a tip that there was a potential threat to Lakewood High School. Throughout the night they were in direct communication with school officials as they investigated the student involved.

In a letter to parents, Superintendent Dr. Michael Mack stated that at no time were students at risk.

At midnight, the student admitted to Sheriffs that he had made a threat of that nature, though he told them that he did not have a plan to carry it out. He was arrested for threatening a public school which is a felony offense.

The Sheriffs Department determined that at no time were any students or staff in danger. School is open and operating on a normal schedule.
