Sedro Woolley, WA– December 7th, 2015. Skagit County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to reports of a possible theft of a motor vehicle in the 27400 block of Hoehn Road in Skagit County. Witnesses reported seeing two men leave the area in a light grey truck and followed them.
Skagit County Sheriff’s Deputies spotted the suspect vehicle and followed it to the Cascade Mercantile on State Route 20, where the vehicle pulled into a parking spot near the business.
Deputies made contact with the driver, Timothy Beckworth and a passenger in the vehicle, Michael White. Deputies ran a check of warrants on the driver and confirmed that he had a felony and misdemeanor warrant. The driver was then placed under arrest for the warrants.
Deputies interviewed Mr. Beckworth about the incident and he told them that him and the passenger, Michael White, were on the side of the road on Hoehn Road when people got out and started yelling at them. Mr. Beckworth then told deputies that the person started following them.
Deputies interviewed the passenger, Michael White, who told deputies that the two had pulled over to pee and then people showed up so they left. Mr. White told deputies that the person then started following them.
Deputies noticed household items, such as a microwave sitting between the two. Deputies asked Mr. Beckworth about the microwave and he said it was his. Deputies then asked Mr. White about the microwave and he told deputies that the two had picked up the microwave from “Scooter Mike.”
Deputies contacted the complainants who stated they were the victims of a burglary. Deputies went to the victims house on Hoehn Road and found that along with the microwave, the suspects were in possession of other items from the victims home.
Both Mr. White and Mr. Beckworth were placed under arrest for Residential Burglary and Possession of Stolen Property in the 2nd degree.
Mr. Tim W. Beckworth of North Reed Street in Sedro Woolley is currently being held in the Skagit County Jail on $15,000.00 bond for Possession of Stolen Property 2nd and Residential Burglary.
Mr. Michael White is currently being held in the Skagit County Jail on $25,000.00 bond for possession of stolen property 2nd and Residential Burglary.
