MARYSVILLE, WAWitnesses to a drive by shooting Monday on southbound Interstate 5 between Marysville and Everett are asked to contact the Washington State Patrol.

According to State Patrol detectives in Marysville, the shooting occurred Monday, December 14, 2015 at approximately 9:18 p.m. on southbound I-5 between Marysville and Everett, and is being investigated as “road rage”.

The victim, whose vehicle was shot multiple times, described the shooter as a white male with dark hair and side burns, driving a large red pickup with a construction rack and a silver tool box in the bed.

After the shooting, the suspect’s vehicle was observed driving in an erratic manner, including passing several vehicles on the shoulder while traveling southbound on I-5 and west onto State Route 526.

Washington State Patrol detectives are asking witnesses to the event, and/or anyone with a further description of the involved pickup truck to call Detective Charles Sletten at 360-654-1144, or email him at; charles.sletten@wsp.wa.gov.
