SNOHOMISH, Wash. – Detectives with the Snohomish County Collision Investigation Unit are investigating a fatal collision that occurred around 8:40 p.m. on January 4th, 2016 in the 11000 block of Springhetti Rd.
According to a press release from Shari Ireton, Director of Communications with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the victim is believed to be a 37 year-old adult male from Snohomish.
Identification of the victim, as well as cause and manner of death, are pending from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
According to witnesses, the victim’s vehicle had crossed the center line and was in the lane of travel of oncoming traffic when a van came around a corner, colliding with the victim’s vehicle.
The van driver was not injured and is cooperating with detectives in the investigation.
