Mount Vernon, WA– On January 18th, 2016, Mount Vernon Officers were called to the Skagit County Jail for a drug problem. Drugs had been found on a female inmate who was returning from part of a temporary release program.
Jail staff found a cap to a hypodermic needle and two pieces of notebook paper with a brown substance in it which later tested positive for heroin and weighed 3.6 g. The notebook paper had the name of another female inmate from the same pod wrote on it.
Sheri Deraimo was charged with VUCSA and Introducing Contraband 3rd degree on January 18th, 2016. She had been in the Skagit County Jail since December 15th, 2015 when she was arrested by Officers from the Burlington Police Department for outstanding felony warrants. She was previously scheduled to be released on February 2nd, 2016 before her newest charges.
Her criminal history includes Identity Theft, Theft 2nd, multiple counts of Criminal Impersonation 1st, Theft 3rd, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, retail theft with extenuating circumstances, and driving with a license suspended 3rd.
