Apollo 8 Astronauts Coming to Heritage Flight Museum

Apollo 8

BURLINGTON, WA-  The Heritage Flight Museum is hosting a Once in a Lifetime Opportunity fundraiser called “An Evening with Apollo 8.”

Imagine hearing the story of the Apollo 8 mission from the men who flew it…According to information released on the Heritage Flight Museum website, the Apollo program ignited a fire of passion, innovation and ingenuity that propelled us into space and culminated in the US being first to the moon. Before the lunar landing though, came all the other “firsts”… first to fly the Saturn V, first to leave Earth orbit, first to orbit another celestial body… those firsts were achieved by Apollo 8; by Frank Borman, Jim Lovell & Bill Anders. It’s been nearly a decade since they gathered publicly to share their story, and this could be the last time they gather to tell it again.
