Jameson Street Extension To State Route 9 Update

SEDRO WOOLLEY, WA– Citizens are urged to join the City of Sedro Woolley for an open house to learn more about and comment on,  the Jameson Street Arterial Extension to State Route 9 on March 2nd, 2016 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. The open house will be held at the City Hall Council Chambers located at 325 Metcalf Street in Sedro-Woolley.

The project will realign and extend Jameson Street from the  Batey Street Intersection directly West to State Route 9 and Rhodes Road, including a new roundabout intersection on State Route 9. The project will include a shared use path on the North side of the route from the West Side of State Route 9 at Rhodes Road, East to the Sedro Woolley High School tennis courts and from the tennis courts to 3rd Street.

The project will include the construction of new drainage facilities, utility relocations, access for commercial properties, curb and gutters, shared use path, pavement markings and illumination.

These enhancements will improve safety, provide enhanced access to commercial properties and add pedestrian and bicycle connections from the West Side of State Route 9 to the High School Vicinity.

The open house meeting will include presentations by representatives from the Washington State Department of Transportation, The City of Sedro Woolley, Skagit County, and the design team. There will be a question and answer period during the meeting as well.
