20-Year Old Marysville Woman Dies In Crash On US 2

King County, Washington- The Washington State Patrol responded to a two car fatality crash on Eastbound State Route 2 near Milepost 61.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 20 year old Josie Eikenberry of Marysville was Westbound State Route 2 in a 2001 Nissan Maxima when she crossed the center line and struck an Eastbound 2000 Dodge Caravan being driven by 63-year old Pete Weaver of Monroe.

Josie Eikenberry died at the scene.  Mr. Weaver was injured and transported to Providence Colby Campus Hospital.

Drugs or alcohol were not suspected in the crash and the press memo states Josie was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Both vehicles were towed by Sky Valley Towing for safe keeping.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and charges are not pending.
