Firefighters Respond to Trailer Fire on E. Whitmarsh Road

Burlington, Washington: Just after 9 pm tonight, Firefighters from the Burlington,  Mount Vernon  and Sedro Woolley Fire Departments were toned with Medic 4 and Burlington Police to reports of a “fire in a building”  at the  Whitmarsh Road Family RV Park on East  Whitmarsh Road in Burlington.

Arriving Firefighters found a fully involved  trailer fire with flames shooting 15 feet into the air.

Burlington and Mount Vernon Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and cancelled the incoming Sedro Woolley Units.

The Occupants were able to safely exit the trailer as the fire spread but the RV is expected to be a total loss.

The Red Cross is en route to assist the occupants who are affected by the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
