Ferndale, Washington- The Washington State Patrol responded to a fatal crash around 12:45 on April 5th, 2016.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, Jacqueline Jefferson, 61 of Bellingham was Southbound on Ferndale Road in a red 1995 Chevrolet Blazer when she failed to stop at a stop sign and her vehicle was struck on the passengers side door by an Eastbound black 2006 Volvo XC920, driven by 30 year old Hannah Fisk of Ferndale.
A passenger in the Blazer, 93 year old Margaret Ann Greene of Bellingham was transported to the hospital where she died from her injuries.
A 7 year old girl, also in the crash was taken to Harborview Medical Center with internal injuries.
Both Drivers were also injured and transported to St. Josephs Hospital in Bellingham.
All three women were wearing seat belts and the press memo states drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash.
The blazer was impounded by Hortons Towing for safe keeping and the Volvo was impounded by ASAP Towing for safe keeping.
The crash is under investigation and charges are possibly pending in the crash.
