Conway, Washington- The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of an armed robbery at the Verma 76 Gas Station on the East Side of the Freeway in the 21000 block of Cedardale Road near Conway around 1:20 am on the morning of April 19th, 2016.

According to audio records available through a creative commons use license from broadcastify.com, Skagit Breaking learned that an armed gunman entered the gas station around 1:20 am on the morning of April 19th, 2016.
The employee reported to dispatchers that the man displayed a smaller older pistol type firearm while robbing the store.
The suspect was described as possibly being a white male about 5’5″ to 5’6″ tall and in his 30’s with a blue bandana around his face. He was wearing sunglasses and a bright blue hooded sweatshirt and black gloves. The subject reportedly left Northbound from the store, possibly on foot. The clerk wasn’t sure if the suspect had a vehicle waiting nearby but did not see one.
Multiple Skagit County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the call as well as two Washington State Patrol (WSP) Troopers and the Mount Vernon Police Department K-9 Officer and handler.
