Three People Robbed at Gunpoint in Mount Vernon

Mount Vernon, Washington- On May 31st, 2016,  at approximately 5:55 pm, Mount Vernon Police Officers responded to a reported robbery in the 4100 Block of Lupine Drive.

Lt. Chris Cammock said Three individuals (18-20 years of age) were out at their vehicle in a cul-de-sac when they were approached by a dark colored SUV. The SUV was  occupied by two individuals.

One of the victims recognized one of the suspects and was familiar with them.  Both suspects got out of the SUV and one of them demanded a cell phone from the victims while the other suspect pointed a handgun at them.  The suspects took the cell phone and fled in the SUV.

A Skagit County Sheriff’s  Deputy heard the call, description of the vehicle and spotted it in the 1400 Block of North 30th where the vehicle was stopped.

The Deputy was able to detain one of the suspects and the other fled the scene.

According to online records, 24-year-old, Gabino Langarica of  Mount Vernon was booked into Skagit County Jail for Investigation of Robbery 1st Degree where he  is currently be held.

Lt. Cammock said no one was injured during the incident and the investigation is continuing.
