Bellingham, Washington- The Washington State Patrol responded to a high risk Crash on Southbound Interstate 5 near Milepost 253 in the City Limits of Bellingham around 9:08 am on June 3rd, 2016.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, David Bigbie, 33 of Sedro Woolley, was Southbound Interstate 5 near milepost 253 in a 1995 Kenworth Dump truck with trailer. The press memo states he was in lane 3 of 3.
A 27-year old bicyclist, Amanda Mihalovits of Burlington, was riding Southbound I-5 on the right shoulder on a Roadmaster Granite Peak Mountain Bike when she drifted into lane 3 and struck the side of the Kenworth dump truck and trailer. The press memo states she was ejected from her bicycle and was not wearing a helmet.

She was transported by medics to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where her condition is unknown.
The Cause of the crash is still under investigation but charges are not expected in the crash.
