State Patrol Seeks Information on Hit and Run Driver

Whatcom County, Washington- The Washington State Patrol responded to a felony hit and run crash in the 8100 block of Birch Bay Drive about 2 miles South of Blaine around 11:31 pm on June 4th, 2016.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, four juvenile pedestrians were walking Northbound on the Right shoulder of Birch Bay Drive near Cottonwood drive  when a Southbound dark colored “lifted” pickup swerved off the roadway and struck one of the juvenile pedestrians.  The pickup then continued Southbound on Birch Bay Drive.

The Juvenile, who was not identified, was transported to St. Josephs Hospital in Bellingham, where their condition is unknown.

The driver of the truck is WANTED on Felony hit and run charges.

“Trooper Mark Francis said the Washington State Patrol is  looking for a dark color lifted Ford or Dodge, with a pink insignia on the back. Most likely has a damaged passenger side  mirror- hit 15 year old  girl & left scene this AM in Blaine.”
