Mount Vernon, Washington- Firefighters from around Skagit County Responded to another fire at the Former Alf Christianson Seed Company Building around 11 PM on June 11th, 2016.

The fire was upgraded to multiple alarms and Firefighters from the City of Mount Vernon, City of Burlington, City of Sedro Woolley, Fire District 2, Fire District 3, Fire District 9, as well as Medic Units responded to the scene. Lake McMurray Firefighters and Clear Lake Firefighters were moved up to cover calls and back fill the Mount Vernon stations.

The Fire was under control and bench marks were discontinued about 2 and a half hours after it started.

The Cause of the fire is unknown at this time as Mount Vernon Fire Investigators have not been able to get into the building to determine a cause, but previous fires at the same location have been started by vagrants who were trespassing on the property.
