Mount Vernon, Washington- The Renton Police Department served two search warrants at homes on North 30th in Mount Vernon on June 15th, 2016.
According to Commander Wilkinson with the Renton Police Department, Investigators with the Renton Police Department Special Enforcement Team were investigating complaints of a marijuana grow operation in the city of Renton when through surveillance, they identified two homes in Mount Vernon that were associated with a large grow operation in Renton.
Search warrants were obtained and served on one location in Renton and two locations in Mount Vernon. Approximately 1300 Marijuana plants were seized from the three locations. Approximately 1000 of those plants were from the Mount Vernon homes on North 30th street. Investigators also seized 30 pounds of processed marijuana between the two Mount Vernon locations.
Investigators took one male subject into custody in Mount Vernon, the only arrest in the case.
The investigation is ongoing and charges against the Mount Vernon Man, who investigators did not identify, are pending in the case.
