Lake Mcmurray, Washington- The Washington State Patrol responded to a injury collision around 5:05 pm on June 20th, 2016 near Lake McMurray Lane on State Route 9.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 70-year old Howard Hurne, of Eastsound, Wasington was injured when he crashed his 2009 Aprilla Sport City Moped while attempting to turn while traveling Northbound on State Route 9, just South of Lake McMurray Lane.
The silver moped came to rest on the right hand shoulder of State Route 9. The press memo state Mr. Hurne was wearing a US DOT compliant Helmet and drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash.
Mr. Hurne was transported to Skagit Valley Medical Center in Mount Vernon for treatment for his injuries.
The moped was removed from the scene by family members.
