Missing Florida Teen Found Alive in Federal Way

Big Lake, Washington- Katelyn “Katie” Barlow, the 14-year old teen from Florida that went missing from Big Lake, Washington on Sunday July 17th has been located alive.

According to the Seattle branch of the F.B.I., Katie was located unharmed over 2 hours and 15 minutes  away from Big Lake at a mall in Federal Way, Washington.

Investigators say she appears healthy and unharmed but she will be assessed further.  The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are unknown at this time and no arrests have been made.

Katie’s case gained national attention when she went  missing after   going outside around 11:30 pm in her pajamas, a tank top and without shoes on.

Katies cell phone was found some 30 miles away in Smokey Point along Interstate 5 the following day.

Katies family was adamant that she had been abducted or taken against her will and put pressure on the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office to get additional resources and the F.B.I involved in the girls  case.
