Sedro Woolley, Washington- The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a fight on September 9th, 2016 in the 22000 block of Gripp Road.
After responding to the fight Deputies ran a check of a vehicle on the property and it came back as a confirmed stolen vehicle. Another person on the property directed deputies to a man sleeping in a Silver Volkswagen Passat and told Deputies that he “deals with” all the cars on the property.
Deputies contacted the man who was sleeping in the Volkswagen and identified him as Steven Thomas. Mr. Thomas consented to and signed a permission slip for Deputies to search his vehicle. Two Deputies searched the vehicle and located drug paraphernalia as well as a baggie of Methamphetamine.
Mr. Thomas admitted to Deputies that he knew the vehicle was stolen and had worked on and removed parts from the vehicle but did not bring it to the property.
Mr. Thomas was arrested and booked into the Skagit County Jail for investigation of Possession of a Stolen Motor vehicle and Violation of the Uniformed Controlled Substance Ace-Methamphetamine. He is currently being held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
