NAS Sailors Help Clean Up Deception Pass

Whidbey Island, WA – Over 80 Sailors from NAS Whidbey Island, Fleet Readiness Center Northwest and Patrol Squadron 4 along with family members hiked Deception Pass Sept. 20, 2016 as part of the NAS Chapel’s “Community Ambassadors” and in support of the Washington Trails Association.

They volunteers  took a 4.8-mile hike on the Fidalgo Island side of Deception Pass, cleaning up trash along the way and stopping midway for lunch and a “Chaps Talk” from Chaplain Cmdr. Marc DiConti.

This was the group’s sixth hike of the year.
