Burlington Man Stabbed in Neck by Woman During Dispute

Burlington, WA  – Officers from the Burlington Police Department responded to  reports of a male who was bleeding from his neck around 2:30 am on December 12th, 2016.

According to a press release from Burlington Police Department Public Information Officer Mike Lumpkin, Burlington Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Burlington Boulevard around 2:30 am after Skagit 9-1-1 received multiple reports of a male in the area bleeding from the neck.

Initial Investigation revealed that a 22-year old Burlington man was bleeding from the neck due to an apparent non-life threatening stab wound.

The injury to the mans neck was sustained during a domestic dispute between the Burlington man and a 20-year old Mount Vernon woman.

The male was transported by medics  to the Hospital Emergency Room  where he was treated for his injuries and later released.

Officer Lupkin said the  female was booked into the Skagit County Jail on Domestic Violence Assault charges.
