Officers Respond to Bank Robberies in Burlington

Burlington, WA – Officers from the Burlington Police Department in conjunction with Officers from the Mount Vernon Police Department, the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office, Fish and Wildlife  and the Washington State Patrol responded to reports of two separate bank robberies in Burlington this afternoon.

An unidentified suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash in the robberies and Law Enforcement units were able to take a possible suspect into custody inside the Fred Meyer store located in the 900 block of S. Burlington Blvd.

The robbery investigations continue and the Burlington Police Department will release additional information when it becomes available.
