Update: 4 Arrested for Theft with Gun in Garfield Street Incident

Mount Vernon, WA – On January 10th, 2017 around 5:30 p.m, Mount Vernon Officers were dispatched to reports of an incident in West Mount Vernon where a victim reported having property stolen from them by suspects armed with a gun.

Numerous Officers responded from Mount Vernon, Burlington and the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office. Several areas were locked down as the investigation was conducted to include Garfield Street and some of the surrounding areas. Officers were able to quickly identify the suspects and take them into custody.

As a result, three juvenile males and one adult male have been arrested and booked for charges of Robbery 1st degree and theft 3rd degree.

Lieutenant Greg Booth with the Mount Vernon Police Department said “Officers appreciate the community’s patience and understanding in the incident. Officer’s worked diligently to minimize the overall impact and inconvenience of the investigation on the greater community, with safety and security as the primary focus.”
