Update: Bellingham Police Release Sketch of Voyeurism Suspect

Bellingham, WA – The Bellingham Police Department is investigating several  recent incidents of voyeurism reported in multiple locations throughout Bellingham.

According to a release from the Bellingham Police Department they have responded to reports of voyeurism in the 700 to 1100 blocks of North Garden Street, the 1300 block of Franklin Street and the 1000 block of Jersey Street.  One incident was reported around 11 p.m. and all the other incidents have been reported in the early morning hours as people were walking to work or school.

The voyeur is described as a white male in his mid 20’s, thin build, with dark eyes. He is said to be wearing a dark or black hooded sweatshirt. The male reportedly holds up a flashlight, which could be the flashlight on a phone.

Bellingham Police and Western Washington University Police has assigned extra patrols in the area. The Bellingham Police Department is asking the public to be on alert and report any instances of someone knocking on or looking in windows to 9-1-1 immediately.

Anyone who believes they have information on the voyeur that will assist the Bellingham Police Department in identifying the suspect is asked to call Detective Howell at (360) 778-8682.
