Burlington, WA – Firefighters and Medics responded to a fully involved mobile home fire on Sanchez Lane in Burlington overnight.
Neighbors as far as a half mile away reported being woken up after hearing a loud explosion followed by people screaming before fire gutted the trailer.

Firefighters had the fire under control within 30-minutes from the initial call. Crews started “mop up” and worked for several hours to douse hot spots.

Neighbors in the area said the mobile home was boarded up and had been vacant for a period of time but was frequented by squatters. This information was not confirmed by Fire or Police Officials as they were actively working the scene.

Fire command on scene requested the Red Cross to assist the occupants.
