Castle Rock Man Dies in Crash on Memorial Highway

Mount Vernon, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a fatal motor vehicle crash around 10:11 p.m.  on Memorial Highway at Beaver Marsh Road on May 5th, 2017.

According to a press release from the Washington State Patrol, 30-year old Cameron Grove of Sedro-Woolley was traveling Eastbound on Memorial Highway in a red 1999 Ford Ranger Pickup when he crossed the centerline and stuck a Westbound Black 2014 Volkswagen Jetta head-on.

The driver of the Jetta, 23-year old Corey Keefe of Castle Rock died at the scene.  A passenger in the Jetta, 21-year old Jaycie Randall of Eastsound was injured and transported to Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon.

Mr. Grove was injured and transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The cause of the crash and possible charges are under investigation by Troopers.
