Big Lake, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a two-car, head-on crash around 7:07 a.m. on State Route 9 near milepost 46 in Big Lake on May 17th, 2017.
According to a press release from the Washington State Patrol, 27-year old Kayla Jordan was traveling Southbound on State Route 9 in a red 1993 Mazda MX6 when she crossed the centerline into the Northbound Lanes.
35-year old Joshua Englund, the driver of a Northbound white Ford Explorer, swerved into the Southbound Lanes to avoid driving into a ditch and both vehicles collided head-on.
The press memo states Kayla Jordan was injured and transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment. The memo states Joshua Englund was not injured in the crash.
The cause of the crash is listed as under investigation.
