Gold Bar, WA – The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue (SAR) Unit and SAR volunteers are looking for a missing 18-year old teen who is believed to have fallen into the North Fork of the Wallace River last night at Wallace Falls State Park in Snohomish County.

Around 7:45 p.m. on July 26th, 2017, friends of the woman called 9-1-1 to report they had climbed over a railing to cross the river to an island and as they were returning to the trail, they heard their friend scream, followed by the sound of a splash in the water.

Several Fire crews and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office searched the area last night until nightfall according to a release from Shari Ireton, Director of Communications for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
Search crews found the woman’s shoes and a GoPro stick at the base of the falls, but the woman is still missing.
The woman has not been identified but is from Las Vegas, attending a local community college according to the news release.
Crews resumed searching this morning on the ground and from the air using SnoHAWK1.
