Mount Vernon Woman Injured in Yakima County Crash

Yakima County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a single vehicle crash on Westbound 82 near Mile post 20 in the Yakima City Limits around 2:42 p.m. on August 10th, 2017.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 22-year old Tanner Ender-Navarre of Logan, UT was traveling Westbound on I-82 in a 2004 Nissan Altima when Troopers say he  fell asleep and his vehicle struck a guard rail.

Mr. Ender-Navarre and a passenger in his vehicle, 23-year old Alicia Matlock of Mount Vernon were both injured in the crash and transported to Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital for Treatment.

Both vehicle occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash and Troopers say drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the collision.

The cause of the crash is listed as Negligent Driving.
