Motorcyclist Dies in Crash on I-5 in Whatcom County

Whatcom County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a single motorcycle crash on Northbound I-5 near Milepost 248 in Whatcom County around 3:40 p.m. on September 24th, 2017.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 36-year old Kendell Vanduisen of Lynden was traveling at a high rate of speed on Northbound I-5 near milepost 248 on a red 1998 Honda VTR1000 motorcycle when he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with the guard rail.  Mr. Vanduisen died at the scene.

Troopers say speed was the cause of the crash.

The motorcycle was impounded for safe keeping by Heston Towing.
