Domestic Violence Call Ends Peacefully After Stand-Off

Mount Vernon, WA – The Mount Vernon Police Department responded to a domestic violence call in the 1300 block of North 18th Street around 2:56 a.m. on November 8th, 2017.

A man inside the residence locked himself in a bathroom with a knife  and refused to come out.

Multiple Police agencies responded to the scene as well as crisis negotiators who talked to the man for several hours before he surrendered peacefully.

The man was booked into the Skagit County Community Justice Center on an investigative hold for domestic violence charges.
