Snohomish County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a three vehicle crash in the 22000 block of Eastbound State Route 2 near milepost 17 around 5:23 p.m. on January 12th, 2018.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 66-year old Rosemary Wenzl of Sultan was traveling Eastbound on SR2 in a 1995 Toyota Camry when she slowed for traffic ahead of her. Troopers say 31-year old Brian West of Gold Bar was traveling behind WENZL in a 2007 Pontiac G6 when he failed to see her vehicle slowing and he struck her vehicle from behind. The force of the collision spun WENZL’s vehicle into the Westbound Lane where she was struck on the passenger’s side by a Westbound 2001 Chrysler Town and Country being driven by 26-year old Shawn Hampton of Sedro-Woolley.
