Body of Missing Snohomish Man Found In Everett

Everett, WA– The body of Missing Person, Henry Groeneveld was found around 10:00 a.m. this morning floating in the lower Snohomish River  at Dagmar’s Landing in Everett, Washington.

A citizen called police around 9:45 a.m. after seeing the body in the river.  The Snohomish County Medical Examiners Office has not released the name of the man found in the river but Liz Dickson, Mr. Groeneveld’ s daughter posted on the Help Find Henry Groeneveld Facebook group that her father’s remains were found.  Liz wrote “My Kind, Sweet Father’s body was found at Dagmar’s Landing in Everett just before 10 a.m. this morning. I wish this was not how my Dad left this world he thought was so wonderful. I wish he could have known how much we all cared about him. Please pray for us as we are just completely crushed”

Mr. Groeneveld had been missing since December 11th, 2017 when he left his home on Union Avenue in Snohomish County on foot after telling his wife he was going to the river.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office used helicopters, divers and imaging devices to search the Snohomish River on December 15th, 2017 but did not locate Mr. Groeneveld.

On December 23rd, volunteers completed a grid search of the Snohomish area.

The family has asked if you see a Missing Person Flyer up that you please take it down. The also want to Thank the community for all the work, love and support.
