Pierce County Sheriff: Father Murders Family, Kills Self

Pierce County, WA– The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Triple Homicide-Suicide  in the 5700 block of 209th Street SE this morning.

Detectives say a father committed suicide after calling 9-1-1 and stating he was responsible for the  murder of his family.

Pierce County SWAT teams arrived to the residence  and found two toddlers, a male and female under 5 years old  and the man’s wife dead of homicidal violence. The male suspect was found dead of an apparent suicide.

Detectives and Forensics teams with the  Pierce County Sheriff’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident.

Detectives say the suspect was a member of the Air Force and Stationed at JBLM.
