Rockport, WA – The new bridge Girders are arriving today and tomorrow for the Illabot Creek Bridge and habitat restoration project near Rockport.

According to a press memo from Bronlea Mishler, Skagit County Communications Officer, the girders for the two new bridges will arrive by truck along Rockport-Cascade Road and be set during the course of two days.

Drivers who regularly use Rockport-Cascade Road should expect intermittent daytime delays of up to 15-minutes as trucks carrying the girders arrive, and as the girders are set in place.

The Oversize trucks will reach the project site using Northbound I-5 to Cook Road, Cook Road to Highway 20, Highway 20 to Highway 530, then onto Rockport-Cascade Road. Drivers on these roads should expect minor delays on Thursday and Friday as the trucks travel to the construction site.
