Whatcom County, WA- Family and friends are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who was reported missing almost two weeks ago.
Thirty-one year old, Cornelius “Casey” Zippro, originally from Gainesville, GA., was last seen on Saturday, June 16th at site Number 3 near Diablo Lake, while camping with a friend.
According to the family, he was reported missing at approximately 4:00pm on Sunday by the friend, who told authorities that after having an argument, he left to go on a hike alone, and when he returned there was no sign of Zippro, but that his tent and backpack were still at the campsite.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office and National Park Services are working together to conduct the search. According to a press release there has been no activity on his phone or social media pages, or on his bank cards.
The press release also states that Zippro does not drive, so he would likely be on foot or could have hitched a ride. He was last seen wearing a light green jacket, a light gray shirt, denim jeans, with a black and white ball cap. The last photo posted to Zippro’s Instagram page shows him wearing a navy-blue sweatshirt, light-colored beanie hat and dark sunglasses. He is approximately 5’11, 190 lbs. with light brown/dark blonde hair, and hazel/ blue-green eyes.
